Dragon's Den Newsletter February 2023

We're 3 weeks away from our

Cleanse and Rejuvenate Class!

Aloha friends,

It would be good for all of us to have the knowledge, understanding, and strength of will to heal the body, mind/emotions and allow our spirit to rise with health, happiness, and enthusiasm.

Cleanse, not deplete, rejuvenate, regenerate, and build, release old
beliefs into new health and freedom, that’s my goal for us as a group in this course.

Take an active role in your health and healing processes, be willing to make a change, and learn to deal with resistance from within and without.

If you have a big enough reason why you’ll find out how and have the willpower to do so.

We’ll discuss certain health topics that currently seem to be on the rise. Heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, heavy metal toxicity, and cancer will be some of the lecture topics as these spill over into other parts of our lives, knowing that the body-mind-spirit is an integrated whole.

The majority of our time together will focus on rejuvenation and regeneration. Cleansing and rejuvenation has to start somewhere, and so does disease. We’ll go into some of the technical aspects, however, our class will focus more on the practical side of regeneration.

There will be a cleanse and rejuvenate program offered for those who wish to do one, and for those who have been with me in the past know I always leave all decisions up to you. All I ask is that you do the best you can.
If you feel drawn to do this course you will learn, enjoy and feel much better at the end.

Best tips for Longevity

First, establish a clean and organic diet focusing on vegetables, seaweeds, medicinal and edible mushrooms, low glycemic fruits, nuts and seeds, some alkaline grains, eat as gluten free as possible and drink plenty of water.

The cruciferous vegetables are the best for health promoting and healing as they are loaded with sulforaphane. Green tea is my go-to in the afternoon with Ti Kuan Yin and matcha being my favorites.

Build and maintain your gut microbiome, decrease inflammation, practice intermittent fasting, reduce stress, live in a healthy community environment, sleep 8 to 10 hours nightly, exercise daily, smile often and be grateful to everyone and everything.

Some of my favorite herbs such as ginseng, astragalus, ashwagandha, he shou wu, nettles, dandelion root to name a few are for longevity, health promoting, and healing.

Coenzyme Q10, Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA), alpha lipoic acid, nitric oxide, glutathione, vitamin D3 with K2, N-Acetyl Cysteine, magnesium, zinc and of course vitamin C are all supplements that you can take to promote longevity. These will benefit the body and mind with energy and mental clarity.

Makawao's Lion Dance

A few weeks ago, despite the stormy weather, Au's Shaolin Art Society came to Makawao town and performed their Chinese Lion Dance for the local businesses and patrons!

It was a festive scene and we were very fortunate to receive the Chinese Lion's blessing at the Dragon's Den Herb Shop.
What a way to ring in the Chinese New Year of the Yin Rabbit!

Makawao Elementary 1st Grade Community Project

Last year, the 1st graders of Makawao Elementary School had a field trip where they walked around Makawao town and learned about its history and local businesses, visiting the Dragon's Den along the way!

Our hearts are filled from the sweet presentation the 1st graders held last week. It seemed they really enjoyed seeing the different crystals we carry! We loved watching the presentation and receiving these lovely tokens from the keiki. Big mahalo to them and their teachers!

Thank you for reading!
