Upcoming Class with Malik Cotter

Summer is just around the corner, and so is our

Newest Class Offering!

Aloha dear friends,

I have found that it’s now my time to lead a course in the ancient art and skill of the Chinese warrior tradition which is akin to the samurai tradition. It’s not about walking down the streets of Makawao or Pa’ia with a sword and staff ready to battle, but about being a warrior in the world where the greatest enemy is within oneself.

The art and skill of Qi practice are about the development of health, awareness, and responsive action. I have found through years of practice, that these arts are truly metaphors for living in the world.

We’ll use conscious movement to learn the physical, martial, and energetics of t’ai qi and qigong, find meaning in Chinese classic Dao De Jing, uplevel our physical health and mental concentration, and discover the higher road within ourselves to embody the warrior qualities of courage, compassion, integrity, and others - while shifting from a mindset of control, fear, lack of confidence, and whatever else may be holding back your body, heart, soul, and Spirit from its loving and joyful nature.

We’ll let Nature and the Dao De Jing be our guides to transform life’s journey to be more alive and for us to see everything as a sacred space.
It is my intent to assist you in discovering your own Dao.

Let’s learn, laugh, and play together as it’s time to release and just dance.
