Pitta consists mainly of the element of fire and is primarily hot in attribute. Therefore, it is treated with cooling or heat-dispelling therapy. It is also moist, light and mobile, so it can benefit from therapies that are drying, nutritive or calming. Herbs included in the Pitta tea like Lemon balm, oat straw and chamomile are sweet and cooling nervines, chrysanthemum and rose are slightly astringent and lavender soothing to tense muscles.

How to brew Pitta Tea: Bring fresh water to a boil or just under the boiling point. Add 1 Tbsp. serving of loose leaf tea to one 8-oz. cup of hot water. Allow tea to steep for 5-7 minutes. Remove and strain the tea leaves. Sip and enjoy, and let any stress melt away.

Storing: Keep your tea in an airtight container and then store your container in a dark, cool, dry place free from strong odors. And hopefully, you will enjoy it before you begin to notice any degradation in aroma or taste.
