This 5 years aged ripe pu-erh tea was produced from tea leaves harvested in the Mang Fei mountain area of Yong De county (Lincang).  The tea underwent wet piling (wo dui) in a local Yong De area tea factory, and then sold to a Nan Jian area tea factory.

Tea was aged in Nan Jian since 2012, and now after losing it’s “wo dui” taste (freshly wet piled aka composted) brews up a clear burgundy red tea.  The taste is very clear and sweet, with an earth and camphor taste.

An enjoyable and accessible ripe pu-erh tea that’s great to drink now and will continue to improve with further storage.

Directions for brewing: Use 1 tsp per cup of boiled water. Pour 1 tsp of loose-leaf Puerh tea into a mug with a strainer. Let steep 3-5 minutes. Remove strainer, add cream and honey if desired.
